Not a lot of kids back in the day were given PCs as we see nowadays. The kids in the early 2000s preferred to play on a console such as an Xbox or a Playstation. But for those who were given the chance to play on PC, these following games had to be in everybody’s top 5.
World of Warcraft

Now since this needed a subscription my parents were too happy about it so my dad gave it a try first and he got immediately hooked on it! I made my own character and everything as well and we both got to enjoy playing. We would sit next to each other each of us on a separate chair and loved playing.
Half-Life 2

Graphics on a PC were really better in games than on a console due to the fact that you can upgrade the graphics card and everything and this game was truly something else a great FPS (first-person shooter) game.
Counter-Strike

One of the greatest 5vs5 games that we have had back then. Terrorist versus counter-terrorists this game definitely gave a lot of game developers ideas on how to create games. From the buying system to setting bombs everything. I would normally play this game when WoW servers were down or updating with friends.
Diablo 2

Before Blizzard went along and gave us World of Warcraft we were all hitched playing Diablo 2. Diablo 2 is a great game for any PC Gamer although you couldn’t move the camera much it was a joy to play.
StarCraft

One of the best Real Time Strategy games out there. My friends and I would play this game for hours and hours and we would just keep going. Definitely has to be in every PC gamers top 5.
